Company Profile

The Camera Shop was established in 1947 as a retail camera store, photo lab and portrait studio. In the 1980s we expanded the photo lab operations to service the diverse needs of retail photo labs and professional photographers in the upper Midwest. In recent years our customer base has grown to include professional photographers nationwide. We are a Premium Member of the Kodak Pro Lab Resource Center. We are located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, 60 miles northwest of Minneapolis.

Our president, Frank Ringsmuth, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Photographic Engineering Technology from St. Cloud State University. Mr. Ringsmuth and several staff members are certified members of the Society of Photo Finishing Engineers. We take great pride in our task of completing the photographic process for our professional clients.

Our 3500 square foot photo lab provides both traditional film and digital processing services.  Most photographers submit their digital print orders through our Labtricity network, utilizing Darkroom® ordering software by ExpressDigital. Four Kodak paper options are available, including ENDURA Professional Lustre and Metallic papers.

Our lab services include: Black & White processing and printing; E-6 slide processing and duplicating; Canvas and Fine-Art printing; lacquer matte print coating and print mounting.
